Description
Luxor is a striking geometric print characterised by ogee shapes emerging from feathery foliage. It draws inspiration from the cobras seen on Arthur Liberty’s trip to Tangier, combined with a peacock feather motif. The peacock feather is an emblem of the Aesthetic Movement, itself synonymous with Liberty’s heritage.
For Autumn/Winter 2019’s Aesthetic Renaissance collection, Liberty Fabrics’ in-house design team drew inspiration from the adventurous life and artistic inspirations of our founder, Sir Arthur Lasenby Liberty. Traveller, tastemaker and gentleman, Arthur’s passion for globetrotting and treasure-hunting with his wife Emma forms the basis of Liberty’s enduring appeal.
