Created with gouache paint in the Liberty Fabrics studio, Bertie depicts a lively musical score flowing between instruments and novelty motifs. Bertie is from the From London with Love collection for Spring Summer 2020 which is inspired by eight epic love stories that have played out throughout the city across the generations. Muses of the season include creative London couples spanning from royals to artists, students and poets, exploring the way they met, the gifts they gave, the places they studied and the artworks they created for one another. The collection offers a journey though the people, places and spaces of London.
